Hello, I’m Matt

I grew up in a big family. Now I have a small one of my own, and I’ve learnt that the days that matter most rarely look like it at the time. A walk after school. Breakfast in pyjamas. Someone falling asleep in the car on the way home.

Every parent knows the trade-off: put the phone down and be there, or pick it up and try to keep hold of it. Doing both rarely works. You end up behind the screen, or with nothing to look back on.

So I do the looking for you. I stay in the background while you get on with being a family, and you get photos of what it actually felt like: muddy knees, mid-laugh, and all of you in the frame for once.
